## Requirements and scope

Treat licence closure, immigration cancellation and tax deregistration as separate workstreams. For DMCC, identify whether the case is a company winding-up or branch removal, prepare the relevant resolutions and documents, and resolve active visas, permits and access cards. Its guidance includes a 14-calendar-day publication stage and a liquidation report for company winding-up; 14 days is not the whole closure timeline.

DMCC's employee-residence cancellation guidance requires sponsored dependants to be cancelled first and publishes two working days for its employee service. Keep this sequence and duration scoped to that service.

For corporate-tax deregistration following closure/liquidation, prepare licence-cancellation evidence and financial statements through cancellation. FTA's 20 minutes estimates application submission, while complete applications have a 40-working-day processing period; an information request can extend the process. VAT deregistration is a separate application where relevant.
