Route and permissions
Choose whether the business will broker sales, leases or both. Dubai Land Department lists sales brokerage and leasing brokerage separately. Its company-licensing process directs applicants to submit the licence application through DET, register in Trakheesi and obtain the applicable professional practice card after licence approval. A free-zone route also requires the licensing authority’s NOC.
A broker needs individual authorisation as well as the company’s licensed activity. DLD’s practice-card page requires good conduct and the applicable broker examination, with exemptions listed separately. Company approval is not permission for an unregistered person to begin brokerage.
What still needs confirmation
The Arabic card page includes passport/residency requirements absent from the shorter English list. Do not publish the English list as exhaustive. Exact legal-form eligibility and total formation/renewal costs remain unverified.
